We'd like to share news of the development of an exciting new Foundation Degree that started at the University of Glamorgan's ATRiuM campus in September 2011. This Foundation Degree is the first of its kind in the UK, and enables students to gain up to half of the qualification based on their previous work related experiences. It also enables those undertaking the course to gain academic credits from achievements in their current workplace.

The award is delivered through a combination of face-to-face teaching and distance learning, and takes around eighteen months to complete. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Degree, participants will also have the option of progressing onto the final year of an Honours Degree should they wish.

Aimed at both self-employed and micro business employees, this is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain academic credit for their past and current professional experience, in addition to learning new ways to exploit their existing knowledge. The Foundation Degree in Music Industry Entrepreneurship is a qualification which is financed via support from the European Social Fund, meaning that all places are fully financed, providing entrants live and/or work in a Convergence Area within Wales, and comply with other eligibility criteria as published on the Mu

sic Academy Website.

Places will be available in South Wales and North Wales in 2012 and in South, North and West Wales in 2013. If you are interested in finding out more about this course please contact them on 01443 668617 or email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
